1986: Jürg Maag and Norbert Brasser started their studio and live project UNTRUE.
1987: The first single "Guilty" was recorded and mixed in London. It was published on "Moon Records".
1988: UNTRUE published their second single "No Hope", and started to record songs for the first UNTRUE album in their own studio.
1989: The first CD was completed in Hamburg, followed by a live tour.
1990: UNTRUE performed at many concerts/festivals in and around Switzerland, with Ueli Spörri (Nanina Gelfi Band).
1991: Various projects with other bands (The Crew, Sisiphos, Robin Banks). Recordings for the sampler album "For A Distant Corner" (Moon Records). UNTRUE contributed their song If I Only Could for this album.
1992: UNTRUE recordings in their studio (Away; Gabi Stiefel Band, Moon Records). The band members acted as studio and live musicians for the Gabi Stiefel Band.
1993: Martin Müller (Medusa, Joystick, Anna Blume, SM/ARTLos Music Orchestra, Cye) joined UNTRUE. His origins lie in Free Jazz, New Jazz and Free Funk and served to restructure the band.
1994: UNTRUE developed an entire new set of songs and performed at countless live acts in Switzerland and abroad.
1997: UNTRUE completed Under Construction, their second CD, which they introduced on a live tour in and around Switzerland.
1998: Various Gigs and Events in Germay and Switzerland.
1999: UNTRUE completed the Mystery Train album. Projects and recordings with other bands.
2000: UNTRUE introducing the new album on a live tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
2001: Anniversary – 15 Years UNTRUE.
2002: The Recording of the Simplicissimus CD. It was first planed as a Solo-Album of Norbert Brasser, but then it becames more and more an Untrue Record, but singed in east-swiss-german.
2003:
A lot of concerts with Simplicissimus,
making and recording new songs maybe for the fourth album?
2004:
A dream comes true! Untrue recorded a live CD on just
two concerts. (and a bonus track recordet at the lengendary CBGB in New
York). Wa also played a view shows in New York and Switzerland.
2005:
Working on new songs, new
recording techniques, and playing in Greek (Thessaloniki, Sarti and
Sikia)
2006: For concerts the work in the Studio is interrupted again and again. Besides we write still better Songs, therefore the sessions for the new CD do not find an end. It is already assumed that it will give double or Trippel album. And still this: The CBGB in NY was closed. We do not have ourselves decided at the re-opening in read Vegas to play.

DIE UNTRUE-STORY
1986: Jürg Maag und Norbert Brasser gründen unter dem Namen UNTRUE ihr gemeinsames Projekt.
1987: Produktion der ersten Single Guilty diese wurde in London eingespielt und abgemischt. Erschienen auf dem Plattenlable Moon Records
1988:Veröffentlichung der zweiten Single No Hope. Beginn der Aufnahmen für ihr erstes Album „UNTRUE“ im eigenen studio.
1989: Fertigstellung der UNTRUE CD in Hamburg, anschliessende Live-Tour.
1990: Mit dem Schlagzeuger Ueli Spörri (Nanina Gelfi Band, Adrian Sturzenegger Band) spielten sie an zahlreiche Konzerte in der Schweiz und im benachbarten Ausland.
1991: Verschiedene Fremd-Produktionen mit Schweizerbands (The Crew, Sisiphos, Robin Banks). Aufnahmen für den Plattensampler For A Distand Corner (Moon Records).
1992: Plattenproduktion im UNTRUE-Studio (Away; Gabi Stiefel Band, Moon Records). Mitwirkung als Studiomusiker und zahlreiche Live-Konzerte mit der Gabi Stiefel Band.
1993: Neu-Konzeptionierung und Formierung von UNTRUE. Mit dem Live- und Studio-Drummer Martin Muller (Medusa, Joystick, Anna Blume, SM/ARTLos Music Orchestra, Cye) aus der Schweizer Free Jazz, New Jazz und Free Funk Szene.
1994: Erarbeitung des neuen Songmaterials und zahllose Live-Konzerte im In- und Ausland.
1997: Veröffentlichung des zweiten Albums: „Under Construction“ und Live-Tour im In- und Ausland.
1998: Zahlreiche Konzerte und Events im In- und Ausland.
1999: Beendigung der Aufnahmen zum neuesten UNTRUE -Album „Mystery Train“. Verschiedenste Projekte Live und im eigenen Studio mit anderen Bands.
2000: Live-Promotion-Tour für das neue Album in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz.
2001: Jubiläum:- 15 Jahre UNTRUE.
2002: Untrue ist fertig mit den Aufnahmen zur ersten Simplicissimus -CD welche anfänglich als Norberts Solo-CD geplant war, durch die Unterstützung der Musiker von Untrue aber auch ein bisschen zu einer Untrue-CD wurde. Der grosse Unterschied besteht jedoch darin, dass sie im Bündnerdialekt gesungen ist.
2003: Zahlreiche Konzerte mit Simplicissimus. Seit der Sommerpause werden wieder neue Untrue-Songs geschrieben und aufgenommen, aus welchen bestimmt einmal das vierte Untrue-Album entstehen wird.
2004:
Eine Live-CD wurde
anlässlich von Konzerten am 20. September 2003
in Etzgen und am 27. September in Zurich aufgenommen. Auf der CD
ist auch ein Bonus Track der im Lengendären CBGB New York
aufgenommen wurde.
2005: Wir schreiben
neue Songs, entwickeln einige neue Aufnahme-Verfahrenstechniken,
Spielen in Griechenland. Remixen ein Song von Lavinia Johnes
für einen Independent Film, und unser Song "Dreamer" erscheint auf
einem Acoustic-Sampler bei Turicaphon.
2006: Für
Konzerte werden immer wieder die arbeiten im Studio unterbrochen. Da
sie immer wieder noch bessere Songs schreiben, finden die Aufnahmen
kein Ende. Es wird bereits gemutmasst, dass es eine Doppel oder
Trippel-CD geben wird.
Das CBGB in NY wird geschlossen :-( Wir haben uns entschlossen am
Wieder-Eröffnungs-Konzert in Las Vegas nicht zu spielen.
